> WHAT_THIS_IS

WhaleFlows is a hobby project that surfaces large on-chain ETH and BTC transactions and Binance hot/cold-wallet flows, then posts a snapshot to @whaleflows every four hours. The data is stated; the interpretation is yours.

Sources

• Ethereum whale txs — Etherscan block data filtered to transfers ≥ 1,000 ETH
• Bitcoin whale txs — mempool.space block data filtered to transfers ≥ the configured BTC threshold
• Price candles — Binance public spot market data, 1-minute granularity
• Fear & Greed Index — alternative.me daily reading
• Exchange-wallet labels — cross-referenced from public block-explorer tags (Etherscan, Bitinfocharts, BlockExplorer) and Binance's own published proof-of-reserves attestations

Honest caveats

• Exchange flow coverage is currently Binance-only. ETH side tags 5 known Binance hot/cold wallets; BTC side tags 3. Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Bitfinex, etc. are not tagged yet. Real net "exchange flow" is therefore broader than what we report — what's shown here is specifically Binance flow.
• BTC tagging is shallow. Binance operates many more BTC addresses than the three we currently know about. As we add more, historical BTC numbers will be backfilled.
• "Biggest 24h whale tx" with no destination means the from/to addresses didn't match any wallet we currently tag — not that the tx is anonymous, just that our address book hasn't been told who they are yet.
• 1m / 5m candles are noisy. Useful for live tape-watching, useless for trading decisions at our 4-hour cadence.
• This is not financial advice and we don't post calls or predictions on @whaleflows. We'll never DM you about an "investment opportunity" — if someone claiming to be us does, it's a scam.

Roadmap

New features land roughly weekly. Near-term targets:

• Coinbase + Kraken BTC and ETH wallet tagging
• Stablecoin mint/burn events (USDT, USDC) alongside flows
• Per-tweet permalinks in the archive
• Historical-flow chart, weekly aggregates
